Kathmandu – Siddhartha Hospitality, a leader in Nepal's hospitality industry, has entered its 27th year. The company, which began in 1998 as a modest hotel in Tikapur, Kailali, has since expanded its reach across the country.

During an event held to celebrate its anniversary, Krishna Neupane, CEO of Siddhartha Group, shared the company's vision of promoting Nepal's tourism and turning Siddhartha into a nationwide brand. He revealed that the group is working on its ‘Vision 2030’ plan, which includes operating at least 58 outlets, both domestically and internationally, by 2030.

“We are preparing to operate hotels in various parts of Nepal and India, with plans to expand to other countries thereafter,” Neupane said.

In the past year, Siddhartha Hospitality has become synonymous with quality in the hospitality sector, a fact backed by various awards the company has received. Last year, the Siddhartha Riverside Resort in Chumlingtar along the Prithvi Highway was honored with the South Asian Travel Award (SATA) for Best Riverside Resort. Additionally, the Siddhartha Boutique Hotel in Bouddha received the award for Best Boutique Hotel.

The Siddhartha Resort in Surkhet also won the Best HR Practices Award from the Karnali Province government, while several other outlets were recognized for excellent service with the Traveler's Choice Awards.

Siddhartha has also launched an initiative in collaboration with Lumbini University to provide hospitality students with hands-on training while they study. The company has also been promoting organic food produced in the Karnali region through its Surkhet hotel.

Plans for International Expansion

Siddhartha Hospitality, which is already expanding its services across Nepal, is set to extend its operations to India soon. The company is also progressing with plans for a five-star hotel in Dhangadhi.

Additionally, Siddhartha has launched the Siddhartha Cottage in Butwal’s Yogikutti, which will feature a water park and one of the region's finest conference halls. While the restaurant is already operational, the rest of the facilities are expected to be completed by next June. The company is also constructing another Siddhartha Cottage in Dhangadhi, offering guests a peaceful environment, open gardens, and modern amenities like a restaurant, water park, and conference hall.

The company also plans to build a luxury resort in the tourist destination of Ilam, which will offer views of tea gardens, organic farm-to-table meals, wellness programs, and cultural experiences.

Currently, Siddhartha Hospitality employs over 2,500 direct staff across its various outlets, making it one of the largest employers in Nepal's hospitality sector.

The company operates hotels across various categories, including five-star Siddhartha Vilasa, four-star Siddhartha Vaibhav, and three-star Siddhartha Batika brands. Other outlets include Siddhartha Cottages and Siddhartha Cafes. Recently, the company has also begun preparations to launch ‘S Hotels’ under its brand.
