Kathmandu-In a major move to unify Nepali pilots working across various airlines under one platform, the Pilot Association of Nepal has been formally established. The association aims to enhance the professionalism of pilots and raise public awareness, contributing positively to the development of Nepal’s aviation sector.

As the first step towards this goal, Nepal’s first-ever Pilot Summit — the Skywell Pilot Summit 2025 — will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at The Malla Hotel in Kathmandu. The event will be graced by the Honorable Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, as the chief guest.

Skywell, Nepal’s first real EV SUV brand, has joined the summit as the title sponsor. At the sponsorship signing ceremony, Mr. Kailash Babu Gelal, Managing Director of G Motors Pvt. Ltd. — the official importer of Skywell in Nepal — expressed his happiness to collaborate with pilots, who hold such a sensitive and crucial profession. He noted that both pilots and Skywell share a commitment to the highest standards of passenger safety, making this partnership a natural fit.

It is noteworthy that Skywell, manufactured in China, is exported to 65 countries and holds the prestigious EU Product Certification. The vehicle has also received a 5-star safety rating from the China NCAP, the highest possible safety standard.

As the title sponsor, Skywell will also be recognized as the Official Mobility Partner of the Pilot Association of Nepal for the year 2025.

During the signing ceremony, Captain Lekhnath Pokharel, President of the Pilot Association of Nepal, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Skywell for its prompt support and trust from the beginning. He described the collaboration as a remarkable example of two committed organizations coming together for passenger comfort and safety.

The summit will also mark the formal launch of the Pilot Association of Nepal. Additionally, the Association will unveil its annual calendar, detailing various programs to promote awareness and enhance professionalism in Nepal’s aviation sector throughout 2025.
