Kathmandu-Nepal’s first franchise-based professional football league, Ncell Nepal Super League (NSL) Season 3, commenced on Saturday with a grand opening ceremony. The opening match between Lalitpur City FC and Kathmandu Rayzrs FC ended in a draw. Before the game kick-off, popular singer Durgesh Thapa entertained the audience at Dasharath Stadium with a lively musical performance.

In today's match, both Lalitpur City FC and Kathmandu Rayzrs FC scored two goals each. The 'Ncell Valuable Player of the Match' was awarded to Vincent Koziello of Kathmandu Rayzrs FC. Throughout this season, Ncell will award the 'Ncell Valuable Player of the Match' in each game with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and a recharge voucher worth Rs. 5,000.

The next match is scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) at 6 PM between Butwal Lumbini FC and Jhapa FC. As the title sponsor, Ncell proudly supports this season, featuring seven teams: Butwal Lumbini FC, Dhangadhi FC, FC Chitwan, Jhapa FC, Kathmandu Rayzrs FC, Lalitpur City FC, and Pokhara Thunders FC. These teams will compete fiercely for the title trophy, promising an exciting season for football fans.

On Thursday, Ncell also partnered with Lalitpur City FC as the ‘Powered By’ sponsor. Ncell has always been committed to fostering sports and youth talent in Nepal.
