Nabil Bank Opens Applications for the Fifth Batch of Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (Nabil SSE) Fellowship Program.

Kathmandu – Nabil Bank has opened applications for the fifth batch of the Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (Nabil SSE) Fellowship Program. This initiative, launched to promote social entrepreneurship, invites individuals who aspire to make a positive impact on society through entrepreneurship. Interested candidates can apply until Chaitra 25 (April 7, 2025). The Nabil SSE Fellowship Program is conducted in collaboration with the School of Management under the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University. The six-month-long program includes an 18-day free

residential training and a one-year mentorship program. So far, 56 entrepreneurs from three previous batches have completed the training, leading to the establishment of 45 social enterprises that have created employment opportunities for 1,184 individuals. Currently, 20 entrepreneurs from the fourth batch are undergoing training, while another 20 will be selected for the fifth batch from applications received nationwide, according to Nabil Bank.


Eligibility and Application Process

To participate in the program, applicants must be Nepali citizens aged 18 or above. Both aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas and those who have already started their ventures can apply. Interested individuals can apply by scanning the QR code available on the Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship’s Facebook page. Additionally, application forms can be downloaded from Nabil Bank’s website and submitted via email. The program is open to entrepreneurs working in various sectors, including livelihood, education, health, information technology, arts,

community development, agriculture, energy, and other areas aligned with sustainable development goals. Nabil Bank stated that the program brings together entrepreneurs from diverse fields and provides them with training from experienced mentors and industry experts. Nabil SSE supports participants by providing essential resources for business development, facilitating access to relevant platforms and networks, and helping them explore financial opportunities.


A Catalyst for Social Change

Nabil SSE has established itself as a key driver of social change. Nabil Bank Limited has been running the program as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives for the past three years. The program currently offers both a fellowship program and a certificate course. To date, 117 enterprises have been established through these programs, generating over 1,200 employment opportunities. The fellowship program is conducted in collaboration with the School of Management at Tribhuvan University, while the certificate course is run through 11 educational institutions across all seven provinces under the Nabil Center for Social Entrepreneurship.

As part of its CSR efforts, Nabil Bank is actively engaged in various social initiatives aimed at bringing positive change to society. The bank primarily focuses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship development, health, education, disaster risk reduction, management, and climate change. These efforts have positively impacted thousands of individuals and contributed to environmental conservation.
