Jumla, Nov 13, Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has underlined the need for strengthening health services in Karnali Province. He said it while addressing the first convocation of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) here today. He directed the KAHS officials to work effectively and honesty so that health services could be improved.
The Health Minister also informed that the Ministry was for increasing the existing amount of health insurance coverage. "KAHS needs to produce skilled human resources, as the Ministry has accorded special priority in the annual budget for the health sector of Karnali region," he added.
The Chief Guest of the programmer was Prof D.r Kirsten Meisinger from Harvard Medical College Center for Primary Care and System Strengthening, USA The first convocation of KAHS witnessed the graduation of total 58 students- of Bachelor's and Master programmer in medical science, public health and nursing, according to Amrit Bahadur Bhandari, Administrative Officer at KAHS.
