Rampur (Palpa), Oct 29: A truck driver was killed in an accident that occurred late Monday night at Rambha rural municipality along the Siddhartha Highway in the district.
The deceased has been identified as Bhuwan Singh Rana, 23, a resident of Rambha rural municipality-3.
The accident happened when Rana lost control of the vehicle (Lu 1 Kha 9351) while heading to Pokhara from Butwal. As a result, the truck collided with another truck (Na 1 Ka 7121) heading towards the same direction from behind.
Sanjit Khawas Thapa, 21, an assistant to the driver of another vehicle, has been injured in the injured. Police have launched further investigations into the accident.
